Josefina Jordan,
Junior Underwater Explorer

This is a puppet-based spectacle. The play explores the problem of plastic pollution in our oceans through the eyes of 12-year-old Josefina 'JoJo' Jordan, the youngest League of Underwater Explorers member. Jo Jo and her first mate, Archibald Otter, search the depths of the deepest oceans in their submarine, Big Tuna, hoping to find the source of a mysterious disease. All puppets were built with found and recycled materials and included both Hand and rod puppets ranging from 2 feet to 10 feet and a 14-foot Backpack Puppet.

This play was created over a twelve-month collaborative process with the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Labrotories staff.
